I need to know how could I get cash from my credit card. For example, if I have a 5000 limit, how can I get all that money in cash?
I’ve heard I could go to the casino and pay with credit card to buy the chips to play and then I could convert them into cash, but I’m not sure if it’s true or if there’re other better options….
My cash advance is very little only 500 and I need more and it has to be in cash :S

I have a Discover card with an $18,000 credit limit. I used an access check for $17,225. I just found out that checks from the credit cards are cash advances not charges and my cash advance limit is only $8800. I contacted Discover but haven’t heard back yet. Any thoughts of what is going to happen? I’ve never used them before.

They don’t want you to be maxing out your card for something illegal or gambling and then not pay.

depending on the company, it will either be 50% of your total credit line, so $5,000 with a $10,000 credit line, or your entire credit line.
I never ever reccomend taking a cash advance. They have a higher interest rate than purchases, and are the LAST thing to ever get paid off, and they accrue intrest daily, so you will pay interest from the day you charge it till the day it gets paid off.

You call them and ask them.
If they ask why, don’t tell them its for gambling, drugs, or prostitutes

i never got a pin number, and there is no place to get one… so how do i get a cash advance?

one account? I made payment on march 26 i called three days ago was told it will post sunday april 6th (today) I checked balance at atm it was different than my last balance shown online through capitalone? why is that?

I’m not over my credit limit, I have quite a bit of available credit actually, but the cash advance limit on my card had been lowered without my knowledge when I tried to complete the wire transfer. Is this going to screw up my credit rating? I simply called Western Union, tried to wire a couple hundred bucks, and was told the charges wouldn’t go through. Are there any negative consequences to this?

I have a credit limit of 300$ and a cash advance limit of 150$. I have already reached the 300$ credit limit, but is it still possible to receive the 150$ cash advance limit? or is the 150$ limit part of the 300$ credit limit?
